We have just one mission: Help SMB organizations to improve their performance tracking systems for achieving their goals. We help them with the right framework, processes, tools such as dashboards for improving business performance.

Business Background

After about 23 years in the IT industry, I started my own IT consulting practice iBTS Consulting offering various services and later started CXO Dashboards offering holistic solutions to improve business performance of SMBs. When I was leading projects, groups or business transformation initiatives, one thing that always facinated me was the clarity, focus and power I get once I start measuring something.

I believe scorecards/dashboards are simple yet powerful tools that every senior executive must have. They should not remain contented with just to-do-lists and project plans. 

While the organization grows, the business processes are not keeping pace, resulting in fire-fighting, burn-outs and system collapse. Several IT investments and quality certifications fail to make real business impact on the organization.

Even after all the process improvement initiatives and heavy IT investments, metrics collection-analysis-reporting continue to remain a weak area in several organizations. This is because of the inadequacy in design of the performance measurement systems, lack of awareness of the tools and the cultural issues. So, even though scorecard concept is simple, implementation can be tricky.

My Profile

I am MG Thomas. My passion is improving business processes with innovative approaches and IT applications. I have helped   several organizations to improve their business productivity by designing and implementing business dashboards.

Before starting my consulting, I was providing IT services to various Indian and multinational organizations. I have worked with mid sized companies and large organizations for process/IT solution development and deployment. As a senior executive, I headed functions such as Software Delivery, Quality (process group), IT applications and IT infrastructure in organizations such as TCS, Futuresoft and Aricent (Flextronics Software Systems). I have led various  organization initiatives such as ERP rollouts, CMMI, ISO 9001, People CMM, Balanced Scorecard, ISO 27001 (Information Security), TL9000 (Telecom.) and Knowledge Management.  I have architected integrated systems that incorporated the diverse requirements of the above business excellence frameworks. Also designed, deployed and used dashboards extensively in all my initiatives and that gave precise control to the process owners.

Now I evangelize using dashboards and help business owners and CXOs to manage their business with 'simple yet powerful' dashboards. My designs are influenced by Steve Jobs' quote "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication".
